OVERVIEW
The very obvious reason behind the name of the most amazing Miniature-park in Belgium, the ‘Mini Europe’ lies in the fact that approximately 80 cities and 350 buildings are displayed by the very park including major countries like Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany,Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom and others. The distinct example of craftsmanship can be very easily spotted in the very exact sound of the miniature ‘Big Ben’ or the model reflecting the fall of the Berlin wall.
In fact all the buildings/monuments stand on the scale from 1 to 25. If one really wants to get into the history of the European Union or for that matter, save the time and get to know it all in one day, ‘Mini Europe ‘really serves the purpose. If the 100 years old ‘Adolphe Bridge’ in the Luxemburg City reflects the rich 20th century architecture of the city, the truly beautiful art collection and ornamented furniture can be seen in the replica of the ‘Artus Court’ in Poland.
Known for the ancient cathedrals, ‘Santiago de Compostela Cathedral’ in Spain, doesn’t actually seem to be in Spain, when one sees its very Romanesque structure with later Gothic and Baroque additions. The Cathedral is also famously known to be the place where one of the apostles of Jesus Christ, namely Saint James the Great was buried. No wonder the park attracts millions of visitors every year.
It seems that the true ‘Spirit of Europe’ is actually inhibited by the park. Besides, one can really get the hang of it when the park provides other recreational attractions such as Atomium, Kinepolis and Imax , Océade and The Village. With its excellent catering service, rich cultural and historical essence, there lies absolutely no possible reason for one, to go anywhere else but the ‘Mini-Europe’
